• With its advanced 11 watt UV stage, the RCC7AK-UV is a suitable option to deal with all kinds of water including well water and other unreliable water sources like lakes and streams. Our unique flow sensor switch turns the UV unit on and off automatically with water flow, saving power and lengthening the life of the UV lamp.
• Reverse Osmosis (RO) removes not only harmful pollutants but also a few helpful minerals. The Alkaline Remineralization (AK) filter restores healthy minerals and a natural alkaline balance, also producing a more natural taste that comes from the presence of the right balance of these minerals.

Our products are tested annually to remove up to 99.99% of harmful contaminants that commonly appear in municipal and well water. All filters, tanks, tubing and other water-contacting parts are certified against NSF 58/ANSI for TDS reduction (58 for reverse osmosis).

The RCC7AK-UV is a multi-layered filter system that removes over 1,000 different types of contaminants, including arsenic, asbestos, chlorine, fluoride, lead, mercury, sodium, and more.

Featuring some of the longest-lasting filters in the industry, The filtration system consists of 7 processing stages, each one designed to progressively remove contaminants and improve water quality:

• 3 Pre-filters: PP sediment filter. Carbon KDF (GAC) filter. Carbon block (CTO) filter. They remove large contaminants like sediment, chlorine and chloramines.
• The heart of the system is the Reverse Osmosis (RO) filter that removes contaminants down to 0.0001 microns – so small that only water molecules can squeeze through but virtually nothing else.
• Fine GAC filter provides final polishing before the filtered water is delivered to the faucet.
• An Alkaline Remineralization filter restores healthy minerals and a natural alkaline balance.
• The end result is great-tasting bottled-water quality.

The RCC7AK-UV features an extra UV ultraviolet stage. Though not usually necessary with municipal-treated water, this stage is particularly important in treating water from wells, streams, lakes and other natural water sources.

The advantage of having both 5-micron GAC & CTO filters is that loose carbon (GAC, KDF) is better at trapping large contaminants, leaving only smaller ones to the CTO carbon block filter. This allows the CTO filter and RO membrane to function at their maximum efficiency and last longer.
